I didnt have a baby, but an ovary and part of a fallopian tube removed, but the surgery and the pain I'm going through right now is the same.

You just need to give it time and no lifting of anything heavier than a baby (7lbs.) and no mopping, sweeping, or anything like that. No stairs, no driving for at least 6 weeks. You need to heal. Walking is great, but for short periods of time and often, so once or twice around the living room and then go lie down. It takes a long time to feel normal again. If the pain is still tough even with the pain killers from the doctor you should call your doctor and keep an eye on the incision sight for any redness or swelling, or seepage, they probably gave you some kind of anti-biotic just in case of infection, but just keep an eye on it anyway. Pray always Pray.

The secret is to move as soon as possible following the surgery. If you were in a good hospital then the nurses aid came in just hours after your surgery and started moving you legs.

After coming home the best thing to do is not sit for too long. Move as much as possible.

Both of these things helped me get over both my C-Sections.

I had one, the best thing to do is try to ignore the pain walk up straight, don't walk bent over! the more you move around "slowly" but surely you will begin to feel better. don't over work yourself but don't stay in the bed because when you finally do get up the pain of no movement is going to kill you!

I've had 2. Time makes it much better. Move around or walk as much as they let you. That seemed to help me more the second time.
