My husband and I are trying to fix an electrical problem and we don't know the best way to access the electrical wires...

Most all Mobile homes the wires run thru the wall for the outlets and In the ceiling for the lights.

You are all wrong the wire in mobil homes runs in the floor and the wall studs. I rehab mobil homes for a liveing

Mobile homes are wired from the top down , all of the branch runs are in the ceiling. look for an access panel to a crawl space in the ceiling , usually found in an inconspicuous place.

Near the center usually, if you have a Water Heater, or a Laundry Room, it is sometimes in or near that, Those are called Mechanical Rooms. Look outside, see the Power Line in, now go inside and trace that as best as you can. On some the power runs underneath, on some it is in the wall.Just like on hoses, the Main Fuse Panel is normally located near the Power Line in area.

usually its in the walls.

dont forget if its an older home it could be aluminum wiring which opens a whole new ball of wax

mine is mostly underneath and run up the inside of the walls for lights an switches ect.
