I hate to say it, but yes, Simon should remain on the show. Why? Because people love to hate him. It's his sarcasm and stinging cricticism of contestants that actually keeps the show saucy. And that's what made Simon rich. If all the judges were super nice, then the show would probably be a lot more boring.
I know, I didn't like him either. But the public just loves to talk about what a dog he is. Admit it.

I only watched the very first and the 2nd season of American Idol. The last one I watched I think was when Fantasia won, and I hadn't watched the full season of it. I came in on the very end of the show. After that, I grew tired of it.

What American Idol should get rid of, is letting the public vote on the show. The public has the tendacy (in my opinion) for taking the side of the underdog, even though he or she may not be able to sing as well as somebody else. I wish they would hire additional judges from the entertainment industry, and let them be the judges.

Speaking from here in the UK Simon has had many successful shows, Pop Idol and X factor both are the highest veiwed progs on saturdays. Its simon we like best over here, his acid tongue is the reason we tune in, but then he is honest to the good ones too. There woold be no American Idol if not for him, the other two are a bit wet.

Yes. I agree with Simon about 98% of the time as does my husband and the rest of his family who are all very musically inclined. I think Simon's great because he's not afraid to tell it like it is. Sometimes he can be a little too rude, but some of those people tend to deserve what they get, in my opinion.

It's his and Simon Fullers' baby. So, yea, he should.

The show is not good this season. The only thing I enjoy are Simon's quips.
I do feel bad for the contestant when he is truly mean though.

He´s American Idol. Without him, the show has no value at all.

yeah bc he speaks the truth and what's on his mind. if you can not sing then people shouldn't be lying to you and Simon helps with that, if you are not good at singing then don't waste your time trying to sing go find something that you are good at and that's what Simon is there for to tell people that. They all have to play their assigned roles.

YES! Otherwise nobody would ever be kicked off. Paula loves everyone and Randy is nearly as bad. Face it, wouldn't it be boring without Simon! He's the guy we all love to hate!

Yeah, Despite his Mean, Insensitive Comments he's a Libra don't be Surprised that he doesn't care.

Listen If he goes Down the Show goes down with him, the show just fine people like you need singing Lessons.

i definitely think he adds something to the show. you could replace randy and paula with any two other people, but there is no one who could ever come close to simon. ya, he's mean, but he knows what he's talking about!
