I just weaned my baby a couple of days ago and she is just over 12 months and I havent had a period yet I breast fed exclusively for the first 6 months, but at about 7 or 8 months I went on the depo shot and the doctor told me some people don't get a period on that, so I m guessing thats why i havent gotten mine yet, but I did go 7 or 8 months w/o a period and without depo, so that was do to breastfeeding.

I nursed my daughter 18 months and got my period after 15 months. I didn't supplement with formula but she started eating solids around 4 1/2-5 months. My son is almost 10 months. He started solids at 6 1/2 months and also no formula, so far no period.

I nursed for 12 months and my period came back one month after I stopped nursing. I was nursing exclusively no supplementing.

I was wondering the same thing cause I could swear I'm on my period now and my daughter just turned 4 weeks old on Monday. I didn't think it was possible but I guess so. Nice to know I'm ok lol. I only breastfed my son for a week before I had to start supplementing cause I stopped making milk but my period came back the following month. And this time I didn't completely stop bleeding from having my daughter before my period came back. I do give her formula ever now and then but not on a regular basis.

My first I exclusively breastfeed for 21 months, no period until 18 months. My second I exclusively breastfeed for 2 & half yrs and my period returned at 18 months.
I LOVE breastfeeding, cause it takes soo long for me to get my period.
But my friend got hers back (breastfeeing) about a month after giving birth.
So you just never know, all bodies are different.

My son is 5 months and we are still exclusively breastfeeding. My period returned 4 weeks exactly after I had my son and went right back to 28 day cycles. I was one of the unlucky ones.

Mine came when my son was 8 months old. I was really breastfeeding most of the time with an occasional bottle of formula. I think the reason I got my period was because my son was eating a lot of solids at that point, but it is different for everyone. If you didn't have a regular period before pregnancy, it may take longer.

with my first it came back at 4 months and I was exclusively nursing. With my second it has been eight months and I just found out that I'm pregnant again so I have no idea when i got my fertility back!!! It was quite a surprise.
