I doubt that there's a problem but check the label information. If it says to consult a physician before use during pregnancy, then follow that advice. They don't charge for questions. You can even call your local hospital and they might be able to answer the question if you can't reach your doctor.

RE:
Is Ricola cough drops safe to take during pregnancy?? I'm 12 weeks now.?
My doctor told me as long as there is no zinc it is fine. But ricola is a natural cough drop with echinacea.

I took Ricola cough drops during my pregnancy and everything is just fine. As long as you aren't 'living' on them you will be OK. If it is that bad, you should see your Dr. for a follow up. Congrats and Good Luck.

The best answer is, always, to call and check with your doctor.
I have read to avoid most herbal remedies while pregnant, so that might not be the best solution.
I took plain old Hall's with menthol when I had a cold - I looked them up and didn't read anything negative about menthol as an ingredient.
But, check with your doctor to be sure.

You can show him the ingredients and he'll let you know if it's OK. Usually, though, it's good to stay away from most supplements no matter how natural they are unless you doc ok's it.

I don't think you are supposed to take echinacea while pregnant either. Double check the label and consult with the doc.
