Everyone so far has had pretty good ideas except heytweety. That was just rude!
Do all of the homework you can freehand in another location besides the desk where your computer is. If you can concentrate while listening to music, do so! When you have really worked hard for an hour, give yourself 5 to 10 minutes of a game or break and then get right back to your homework.
Keep in mind the B to B theory. (Your brain can only handle as much as your bottom will allow) so remember to get up and move a little after the hour.
When you have completed all of your homework you can then have all the fun of playing your games without the guilty feeling!
Good Luck!

Just think if you do ALL your homework you will reward yourself with a game later..so that way you can focus on the game knowing that ALL the homework has been taken care of.
If you can't do this remove the game from the computer so you are not tempted.
The game will always be there but your homework will always have a dead line!!

I found when I was in school, listening to music helped me study* But I would suggest, since it's a distraction for you...You have to set boundaries for yourself, and take an hour to do homework.....shut the telly off, the itunes and the games* no instant mssging with friends..........just one pure hour of homework* THEN enjoy the rest of the time doing what you feel like doing*~

Also reward yourself after your homework is done! Do something you enjoy, or think of something special just to treat yourself. You must self discipline yourself to do the homework, but then reward yourself when it is accomplished. We don't mind doing things so much if we know we get some kind of satisfaction from it, or a reward for getting it done. Try this, and see if it helps! Good luck!

Set a timer. Make yourself do homework for an hour, no stopping, and then allow yourself a break. Or else, do the homework freehand first and then put it into the computer.

Listen to music that is calm. Try not to play music that will put you to sleep. Or do the most interesting assignment first. Only you can put your effort into something in order to get the benefit.

This may be hard for you, but delete everything that may distract you. You should know, your grades are more important than your iTunes or games. You grades lead to a very important career that your life depends on.

Well if you want to have a future, where you have the money to do the things you like, you need to learn to put off gratification until your work is done. I never did, I am poor.

I find it good to do your homework ON A DESK WITH NO COMPUTER, NO RADIO, NO TV IN SIGHT...
in other words, NO DISTRACTIONS = BETTER CONCENTRATION!
