I am travelling to Kenya soon. I normally go to Greece for my holidays and use an adaptor that changes a three pin plug to a two pin plug, what do I use in Kenya? and will the voltage be enough to power a hairdryer and charge a camcorder?

Same as UK, three square pins. The power is also 240. All east african countries are the same, i.e. Tanzania and Uganda.

http://www.kropla.com/electric.htm

this site has a lot of info about electricity around the world and what size plugs work there....there are several sizes of the pins, so I recommend checking this site to see what size it says they use in Kenya. I'm American and lived in Sudan for a year and had to use a power adapter, but I think you guys use 220/240 in the UK, so you wouldn't need that, just the adapter for the plug like you use when you go to Greece. Hope this helps!
