The resolution on your laptop screen is determined by the number of pixels per inch it can display. All LCD screens have a native resolution that you can set it at to get the best look on the monitor. Setting it higher or lower makes it look worse. You should be able to find that resolution on the box, instruction booklet, or ads for the laptop you have. Set your resolution to the native resolution and you have the best you can get. Video cards don't make the screen look any better they just increase the speed of the display.

In a word, no..Resolution depends on the GPU (Video card) and laptop GPUs arent upgradeable because they are basically plastered to the motherboard..

try to download a nvdia software... these will tweak your monitor resolution..and its great
