Does having a new tracking rod and tyres make your car steering appear abit loser at first or would it make it stiffer? Or does it make no difference to the car? I've just had the above done, and my car steering appears loser and veering slightly to the left??

It should feel tighter. Did you put the proper air pressure in the tires??

Normally you wouldn't replace the tracking rod unless it was worn out so therefore it should handle a little more crisp if anything were different. The tyres shouldn't make a noticable difference, but the givaway is that you said the car veers slightly to the left. You probably need a front end alignment. Either the person who replaced the tracking rod did not realign the car or they did a poor job of aligning it. I would take it to someone else for the alignment - clearly they screwed up the first time and if they keep screwing up it will wear your front tyres very quickly - so this needs to be fixed correctly and soon to save your tyres.
