IN CANADA THE TAX CAME ABOUT TO FOOT THE BILL FOR WORLD WAR I AND TWO AND THE GST THE TRIPLING OF OUR SELLS TAX WAS ONLY TO BE FOR A FEW YEARS.ANOTHER LIE ONE AFTER ANOTHER

Same way they do today, they taxed stuff. Stamp taxes, Liquor taxes... they've even taxed cards and prositutes over the years.
