yeah. I am guessing you are doing a one trait punnet square. Take the 1st parents alleles and write one at the top of one column, and the other on top of the other column. Take the second parents' alleles and put on in front of the top row and the other in front of the bottom row. (Note that a dominant allele is symbolized by a capital letter for whatever the dominant trait is and a lowercase for the recessive. For example: If Dominant Brown Hair is capital B, red hair is lowercase b.)

Now you should have four little squares in a box with letters on the left side and top side. For the top left square, merge the top letter on the side with the left letter on the top. For the top riight square, merge the top letter on the side with the 2nd letter on top. Match up the other 2 squares and your punnet square should be complete.

Aa x AA= AA, AA, Aa, Aa

What you do is draw a square and split it in quarters so you have four squares that make up a square. Now use the shorthand method and write the genetc code for one parent above the top squares, then do the same on one of the sides for the other. Now go down into the first box, write the letter from the side and from the top of it (by the way you line the letters up with the squares) and write those letters, in the proper oder (dominant, then recessive or in incoplete or codominence alphabetical order) Do that for all the boxes. Punnet squares are actualy really easy. They show all possible outcomes for a trait in the offspring.

It all has to do with dominate and recessive genes.

Draw a Square and divide it into 4ths then depending on a domimate or ressive gene the letters will either be capital or
lower case letters it will create either a dominate or ressesive gene. That sounds really complicated.... and it is but, punnett squares are really hard to explain.
