after last year, i think any one can win.
i mean they picked TAYLOR HICKS!

I honestly wanted Katherine McPhee to win! Taylor Hicks had to be at least 40 years old! He didn't deserve to win! But the American people apparently wanted him as their idol! But i think this year, if your voice isn't very crappy and you look ok, you have a shot.

actually the viewers picked Taylor Hicks and right or wrong that's the way the show works.
The judges are there to try to steer the viewers in the right direction (ie: Simon never liked Taylor Hicks and as much of an @$$ as he is he knows talent and music) but ultimately its the viewers who vote and last year they obviously choose to go against the judges recommendations. Not that I have anything against Taylor Hicks (I like him...he wasn't my first choice but I like him)
I'm just saying that's what the shows about.
I know you know that already.....so to answer your question...based on what the show is about then yes I think Taylor should have won. He got the most votes and played the game well.
Its hard to say if this year will be better, worse or the same at this point.
.....but I look forward to finding out.....

I don't think Taylor Hicks should've won. He's OK, but the one i wanted to win was Paris Bennett. She's got some real SOUL! But i would've picked McPhee to win it all. I liked Seasons 1-3, but i was kinda questionable and skeptical about Seasons 4 & 5. With what i have been watching on TV now, it's kinda bleak. Whether the show will be better this year all depends on if we get more studs or duds! Minneapolis is MinneHOPELESS! The lack of talent in Seattle was enough to drown out the rain that populates the city! And New York? Don't let me get started on them! The talent there falls apart just like the city's economy! I can't wait to see what's gonna happen next! Who is gonna be the next city to sport more non-talent than talent?

yes he deserves to win, Despite Me Personally Picked Katharine McPhee because she's more of the Hollywood Type.
hey Taylor Hicks is a Good Man and Great Performer and People should give him Credit for It, Simon was nothing but a Bully to him last Year and Simon should be ashamed of himself, ever dissing a Good Singer.

I voted for Taylor. I was tired of girls winning all the time. I'm not much of a fan of female artists...don't know why. Of course, my original pick to win last season was Chris Daughtry so I was quite shocked and disappointed when he went home. But Taylor was my second choice from the beginning. I really like Katherine, but after Kelly, Fantasia, and Carrie, I was ready for another guy to win.
As for this year, from what I've seen so far, Sean Michel has my vote. And I'm really liking Sundance Head, too...sorry if I got the last name wrong on that last one.
