Let me guess, you are a teenager, probably around 13-17. Because if you are older then you should already have a grasp on certain understandings.
You and you alone will define who you are. A person is defined by their likes or dislikes. Their ambitions offer us insight as to what the person's traits are, these traits can be either derived by encoded personality traits handed to us by fate from our ancestors, or they could be aquired traits, found and expounded/expanded on by nuture. Nuture meaning learned in life.
You are human for starters. You are either a male or female. You are made of not only biological matter, but also from spiritual matter. The two are seperable, but if the two become seperated you are physically dead.
(a body can live braindead, but a brain cannot live body dead, our brain contains the neurological and chemical spark of this thing we call life).
Some people seek definition by association. I am a writer, I am a sportsfan, I am a Buhddist., etc, etc.
I will go back to tell you, that, it is you that defines your life and not some hodgepodge of made up phrases or words, or descriptions of life or psycho babble sentences.
First, go to the stove in the kitchen. Turn it on high, then place your hand either on the flame, or on the eletrical heat coil, and then see if what you feel is real, or imaginary.
Take a lesson and make a list of what you want to be when you grow up and then go to school, and do your very best to stay away from bad influences, they come in other human form or just the natural genre of no-no's.
Find some time to look into the sky, both in the daylight, but also late at night. On some back road, away from the whitewashing of the sky by city lights. Like somewhere between Abilene, Texas, and Odessa.
Pull over often if not able to grasp the infinity of the stars, and this solar system traveling in space, hurtling at thousand of miles per hour, on a planet called Earth, which happens to be the 3rd from the sun, in this our local solar system, just one of many in this star galaxy called the Milkyway, they even named a candy bar from this experience.
>>>>>Is this question of yours real? I mean....if you asked yourself this question .....wouldnot you be able to define yourself?
Your should talk with your parents, or some other adult that is well grounded and one that is close to you. One in whom you can place your trust and one in whom you are not afraid to ask even the most obvious unknowns.
Avoid, Catholic Priests though, because they don't have a clue!

You are the choices you make. You are not what you wear, but what you want to wear. You are how you speak, what you say, and what words you choose. Who says our lives aren't real? I am not one to say so. But live for life for living. There is no room for doubts. Even if our lives aren't real, whatever real may be, they still are our lives.

You are who you are...
You are affected by media, learned from society, grown from community.
