the naming calling about those, who are against legal immigrations.they show how the people haven't a way of explaning their position.
let's just use the Mexicans for example.
Mexico is very harsh to people trying to get into their country.
but it's OK with Mexicans coming to USA as an illegal.
the Mexican leaders in USA want all the illegals to come get amnesty. because by 2016 ca.,co,az,nm, texas
and uath will have 12 senators and over160 congressmen will be latino they will have a powerful caucus , which will able to control this country..they can use their veto, which can't be overridden.
could or would ,they want to succeed from this U.S. get funds for their states, free care you can think about others at other states expense.
it's not that they are bad people. it's just that they came here as an illegal .give them amensty that 16million votes sounds crazy
the worst will be no more 2 party system but goverments like
europe with 3 and parties where nothing gets done. constant
wheeling and dealing.

I think this whole problem is because America is full of dumb rednecks. Its so sad and unfortunate. Our country was built on immigration, but legal immigration. Everyone in America is a descendant from an immigrant and they alwasy will be (with exception of Native Americans). Yes illegal immigration is a huge problem, because it has to do with our security and people comming into our country without the right. But legal immigration is legal, and a normal process. Since many Americans have been immigrants legal immigration will most likely never be outlawed. We have to fix the illegal immigration problem and stop whining, it pisses me off when people complain. If you don't like it then leave. and stop complaining. Or vote for someone to fix it.

It wasn't the immigrants that built this country, it was the ethic they brought with them.
As far as immigration goes, I'm not against immigration, but the quality of the immigrants. They're bringing violent crime, drug trafficking and now terrorists across the Mexican border.
Another factor is that the American way of life is being destroyed. Our unique culture is being erroded from within.
When my car was stolen a few years ago, it opened my eyes. When my car was recovered, it had dirt in the gas tank, water in the engine oil, and the transmission went out within a week or two, God knows what they did to it. What they did was very malicoius, and just plain pointless. It was nothing more than destruction of property for no good reason. I had to pay thousands of dollars just so some illegal immigrants could have some fun getting drunk and sabotaging the white guys car. (I know they were illegal immigrants because they were caught).
As far as I'm concerned, you can round 'em all up and drop 'em all off in Mexico City, then build a fence to keep them out.

Simple: lots of people enjoy blaming their problems on other people, and lots of people have a bias against immigrants as "inferior", because they don't necessarily speak the language well or conform their behavior to local standards.
So, put those two together, and immigrants become scapegoats for problems that likely have other causes, like "this neighborhood used to be great, until the immigrants started moving in" -- which fails to take into account that dropping property values are what allow lower-income immigrants to move in, rather than the other way around.
You get the idea.
EDIT: Yahooforkid's comment above mine is a PERFECT example of this. You said "Immigrants", and yahooforkid assumed you mean "Illegal immigrants", because they have this bias image of all immigrants as being here illegally and causing all of this country's problems. Yet, at the very same time, I have no doubt that yahooforkids -- like myself, and almost everyone posting on this question right now -- has ancestors who came to this country and contributed to it, helping make it what it is today (for better or worse.)

It's good to know that our Native American Mohawk population is finally coming around to appreciate the immigrants that have made this country great and recognize that despite their tribal longevity and precolombian inhabitance, they realize that they too are immigrants.
I would submit that the controversy rests on the ILLEGAL immigrants that bring this country down; not the LEGAL immigrants that make this county great!

We all are or came from Immigrants, and all learned to accept the language and ways of this great country, If the Mexican way of life in Mexico is better than we propose here, then why not stay in Mexico? Get with the program.

On this forum, many are angered at the notion of helping those less fortunate countrymen...much less immigrants! It doesn't surprise me when I read hateful diatribes by people who blame their problems on people who they see as a threat to their way of life.
As to the issue of original immigration making the nation strong...I think we need to stop blaming or applauding forefathers for their movement to America. What was done is done...it is 2007...we need to focus on today. And care for thy fellow man would be a wonderful way to start!

Adopting your view would lead to the proposition that everyone is an immigrant. Not so. Legal immigrants who work are fine but the illegal ones and the ones who come here to mooch should be thrown out ASAP. They only drain America.

There is a difference between immigration and ILLEGAL immigration.....If it is done legally thru proper channels then there is no problem. When it is done illegally then it costs the taxpaying law-abiding CITIZENS of this country millions of dollars every year!! Another issue is the fact that they move here and then do not want to assimilate into this culture, they still want to do things like they were still in their home country. They need to learn the language, follow the laws, and MOST importantly stop bad mouthing the country you want to become part of, if you don't like it, GO HOME!

Like so many issues in America, a lot of people take the ultra extreme. Some people want to wall off the border, others want us to just take anyone who wants to come here no questions asked. Can we compromise for once in our lives?
