You can use the symbol, ^ , for exponents.
1) d^3 d^-4
Add the exponents
= d^(3-4)
= d^-1
To make an exponent positive, you flip it. If it's on top, then you move it to the bottom. If it's on the bottom, you move it to the top.
= 1/d

2) (w^3 y^4 z)(w y^-2 z)
Add the exponents on corresponding variables.
= w^(3+1) y^(4-2) z^(1+1)
= w^4 y^2 z^2

3) k^-11 k^3
Add exponents
= k^(-11+3)
= k^-8
= 1/k^8

4) (x^7)^2
Multiply exponents.
= x^(7*2)
= x^14
