why is it that the UK bends over backwards to not insult others when in actual fact we are almost insulting ourselves by doing this???

Because we have lost all self respect and have become people pleasing puppets - what a pointless waste of time

We were a great country that had a significant impact on the shaping of the world. BUT we were a bit uncool with the empire stuff and so I guess we are just too embarrassed to be strong anymore. The thought that your enemies may have nuclear options tends to make you wanna be sweet with the world. Don't worry things will change this year with the 25 commenration of the Falkland war - this will shock the Great back into Britain

I think we're becoming a nation of wet blankets, too busy trying to please everyone else whilst forgetting our Britishness. I don't think we should be out conquering the world or anything but I do think we should start respecting our own heritage and bring back a sense of pride for our country.

Yes, it seems we've forgotten all our old traditions to accommodate the minority, who should actually be bending over backwards to integrate with us.
