You can't help but admire the manner in which she played the Australian Open, to go over 2 years without defeating one top ten player, and then demolish Maria Sharapova in the Final of a grand Slam was truly sensational. People don't realize how difficult it was for Serena, she grew up playing tennis in Harlem (apparently avoiding gun-shots whilst playing tennis) and the death of her beloved sister would have hurt her so much. It is was touching when she mentioned the inspiration for winning was the death of her sister, imagine how difficult that would have been for her. Then she was constantly criticized for her weight, despite the fact she was winning. How difficult would that have been for her, knowing that no matter how she was playing she would only be given critical comments saying that she was fat from the media. Serena is one of the all-time greats, and how she overcome the adversity to win the 2007 Australian Open will go down as one of the all time great moments in sporting history. Well Done Serena, you truly are a tennis legend!!!!

Yes - she's is such an inspiration. She showed true guts to win the tournament. I loved the way she was so pumped in her games - what a woman!

hell no i dont want a man using steroids with a fat ar.se winning grand slams...its an insult to tennis!!!! does that animal get tested for drugs cause im sure it uses them......i didnt know black monkey gorillas can play tennis!!!
