No. I think the 5 movies that were nominated were a lot better than Dreamgirls. The three things Dreamgirls had going for it was Jennifer Hudson's performance, Eddie Murphy's performance, and the music and it was nominated for all 3. Beyond that, there is nothing that makes it stick out as a Oscar worthy movie. The performances may have been good, but the overall movie was just average. I don't think there was any other reason as to why it wasn't nominated.

It was not one of the best five of the year, so I would have to say it was not snubbed. Everything is subjective, however, when dealing with oscar nominations. If you enjoyed the movie, good for you. That's what going to the movies is all about. Personally, I liked The Illusionist more than Dreamgirls, but that's just me.

Heck no, the Oscars are a prestigious event. It would have been ridiculous for the Academy to lower themselves that far
it's bad enough they nominated Little Miss Sunshine
Hopefully justice will be served, and The Departed will walk away with the award

No...Its just not that good....
The pieces of "the puzzle" are good, like Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Hudson,...but as a whole the complete picture is not really worthy of "Best Picture"

Not snubbed, it just got fewer votes than the other five nominees.
