Oprah- grew up dirt poor, was pregnant and lost a baby at a very young age. Broke through on TV and now can do anything she wants !
Ellen- Don't really know except she is gay and funny as hell.
Regis: Annoying as hell.

all three are on t.v. and don't know jack about anything
as far as the influence part of your question; they cause people to sit infront of the t.v. and ooh and awe over the dribble that is spewed from the respective hosts mouths. thus making water cooler talk for the drones who actually take their words as gospel.
the releveant part of your question; how many dumbasses do you know that watch these shows and immediately after their IQ points drop 3%

oprah winfrey is a multi-millionnaire who has recently built a school in south africa, ellen degeneres is a supposedly wealthy dyke and regis phibbin...doesn't ring a bell.

Ellen is a white gay woman who thinks her goofy ways make her cute.

Ellen Degeneres used to do stand-up and she's actually pretty funny. Also her girlfriend is freaking hot!!!
