I have recently discovered a brilliant way to clean windows and that is to buy Microfibre cloths.
First use one of them wet and then go over it again with a dry one and you will be amazed at the results. No chemicals either which has to be a bonus.
Good luck.

There is a product called Invisible Glass in a spray can that works great. Windex always leaves streaks and smears for me, but not the Invisible Glass stuff. I found mine at Wal-Mart in the automotive section.

Clean the windows however you normally do just to get all the dirt and muck off then spray again with something like windex then use one of those squeegies to clean the windows make sure to wipe off the stuff from the squeegie between each wipe... seems to work for me

Wet windows with warm water with some white vinegar in it, then polish to a streak free shine with sheets of old newspaper. Cheap, and environmentally friendly.

I work in the R.V. industry and I put the graphics on units. I use isoprophyl alcohol. (regular alcohol) We have to run the stripes across the windows. No streaks or smearing!! I use it at home on my windows too. Hope this helps you.

Hot water, laundry soap, and a squeegee. It works perfectly for me. I do use a microfiber cloth to get the little bit that the squeegee leaves behind.
