It's absolutely the worst, least creative, unfunny movie I didn't see. There's something wrong with a movie that parodies a parody (Borat), and doesn't even elicit a laugh in doing so. When asked how bad a comedic screenwriter can make his/her script, my answer will be "Epic Movie," followed by "Date Movie," and then "almost anything by the Wayans brothers."

To Thuglife: I wasn't crediting the Wayans brothers for Epic Movie or Date Movie, and I'm not blaming them for those movies. I'm blaming them for stuff like "Little Man", "White Chicks", the original Scary Movie and the sequel. Those movies never were good. They were sh** even when the Wayans were writing the script.

"Little Man" was at the top of the list for worst movies of 2006 (with Basic Instinct 2). The Wayans were also nominated for Razzies as worst actors.

I have little experience in comedy script writing, and I could've written better movies than any of the ones I've mentioned.

I think your opinion is subjective towards how you feel and your socio-cultural background. Yes, for some is stupid, but for some it is funny. In my opinion, there is a lot of people who would like to see the movie, either for the humour, for laugh, or just how corny it is.

It is also a proof that the movie is targeted towards a more younger audience (surely ppl who likes thriller or drama won't sit through the whole "epic" movie).

So if you think the movie was stupid, yes to a certain degree (it is supposed to be stupid). But there are other people who would enjoy it, and you cannot deny that either. Movies like "epic" is catered towards the regular and typical "Americans."

Look at it not subjectively, but also objectively from a moviegoers persepctives and point of view.

whoever talked trash on Marlon Wayans is an idiot
The Wayans are what made Scary Movie 1 and 2 good...coincidentally Scary Movie 3 is the last one of this "series" that I've seen, because once they lost the Wayans, it just turned to sh!t. They still get a writing credit on the Scary Movies, but that's only because they're still using the same characters that were developed in the first 2. I agree this is getting ridiculous. Date Movie was awful, and you'd have to tie me down and hold my eyelids open to make me watch Epic Movie, but don't blame it on the Wayans'. They have nothing to do with it, plus they're actually funny

I think the problem was they tried to do too much with too little. they tried to make fun of EVERY movie instead of just sticking with a few (really, they even went back to Star Wars) there were some VERY funny moments...but the whole was disjointed and it was hard to stay interested in the whole 1 1/2 hours

I think this is funny because sometimes it is good to make fun of everything, even the great movies like Narnia,Harry Potter, etc. I am a great fan of them, but not everything is going to be nice always, just laugh baby

well i think thats the point of a parody, it actually wasn't an epic movie lol, all things weren't made to be serious.

I don't need to see it to know it's stupid! I agree with the first respondent.

It's just a bunch of writers who aren't talented enough to write their own material, so they just make fun of other movies. I didn't go see it though, not worth it.

I can tell it's stupid just by the previews. I don't have to see it to know it's stupid.
