Not a bad start! A few suggestions (use them or not :)

Header: Consider changing the font for your Co. Name to something with a bit more bulk, using a classic font, nothing weird or funky...it sort of gets lost in the animation below right now.

Also changing the font of the We search line just a bit smaller, you don't want it to overpower your 'logo'.

Speaking of logo...consider having one done to incorporate with the text version of your Co name. You want to create a branding...something that people associate your name with.

The animation is great...however, it creates a busyness after awhile that can become bothersome...consider having the animation run a few times and then stop...perhaps have it coincide with the visitor clicking on something...each click the animation goes across the page once and then returns to its start position if you like. This signals to the user that an action has taken place and they can expect results.

The icons that are on the page...good touch...I take it that each icon will represent a particular search category?

You might consider your email icon being moved to a more conspicuous spot and make it more noticeable and distinguishable from the others...taking the 'logo' that you design (a circular designed logo would work best both in header and as email icon) you'd then re introduce your company signature to the visitor.

The 3 buttons in the center...I'd recommend these be removed from where they are and placed at the bottom of the page instead and made slightly shorter (height).

Obviously you are still working on this so you probably already have your Privacy Statement, Policy statement and the addition of Breadcrumb navigation ready to go...these too can be added to the bottom of the page beneath or beside the buttons if you choose to continue using them. I'd keep the inactive colors all the same and then the action color (when someone passes the mouse over) can change (all the same color however) and then the clicked action could be another color. Keeping all the buttons the same color might sound boring, but the name of the game for websites right now is very Web2.0....clean, crisp, easy on the eyes and glossy. Glossy logos, glossy buttons, glossy header.

Again with the bottom of the page, include also your 'Contact Us' link...your bottom text links and breadcrumbs need only be small print in a color that is noticeable...i.e. blue.

Web 2.0 colors are normally the blues, greens, orange, reds some greys and whites. Lime green is also used but very sparingly.

Keep the same fonts in the body of the site...switching from font to font throughout the site begins to affect the reader and too many changes loses visitors, some almost immediately.

Make the icons work for you by connecting them to mouse overs and clicks, if you can make them slightly smaller and not quite as bulky it will bring the 'neat' aspect into play, add your logo, something round, nicely presented, glossy...more prominent email icon (not huge just recognizable as a way to contact you...your logo shrunk down lets say) and I'd not hide it among the other icons but rather place it centered below the others a few spaces down...on one side you could place your Privacy Statement, the other side of it place the Policy Statement both in small easy to read lettering, this attracts the eye to the email link as well as to the info that they may wish to read regarding your policies...etc.

Very good start....you've done a nice job and I think once complete it can be a very cohesive, easy to navigate and use...site.

Keep it up! Good luck

Hey, I would take off all of the graphics around the bottom, they somewhat resemble cheap advertisements. And they clutter and take away from the interesting graphics you put at the top. Those are very attractive, I think they are perfect. In general I think its an ok idea, hope it works out.

Your site is toooooo busy with graphics. (Too many colours makes any site look cheap and nasty). Also loose the upper case writing......upper case is SHOUTING AND RUDE!!! Cool idea though. Good Luck.
