The tire company should be able to remove them. Call them first! Buying a new set of lug nuts is a good idea because if you get a flat tire you are SOL.

It is a locking nut to stop the wheels being stolen. You need the key for it - which is an adapter to connect to the wheel brace. If you can't find it in the car you should go back to the firm or person you bought the car from, or your local Volvo dealer may be able to get a duplicate for you, or you will have to get the locking nuts drilled out, or try a local tyre depot.

There is a special socket for this job comes in 3 sizes and inside it looks like a steeply tapered screw thread - left handed so that when it is put on the locking wheel nut and turned to undo it grips the nut tighter as it is turned ( bit like the old fashioned "easy out") I got my set from J&S Products in Norwich via one of their agents There is a web site for J&S.

Any tyre specialist will have all the available keys anyway, so they won't have a real problem. Most can be undone with a hammer and chisel, and the bolts are re-usable afterwards, but the key only costs about £7 from the main dealers anyway. Some will ask to see the documents to the car but most just supply it.

Go to one of the local tyre shops,
they will be able to take it off for you ,
please note that they will charge you more money.
Always keep the wheel locking nuts in the cars.

Does your flat have no keys? Life on th edge is an endless series of blunders. Get a grip then reclaim reality. Ebb and flow are useless when wrecklissness predominates. Realistic ventures imbibe wholesome outcomes.Adversity times 10 reverses in proportion to wisdom and patience gained.

some answers are well ok but some are in the clouds
tyre shops will get them off but they dont keep the keys as they are for your car only.
so smash them off sorry.
they will give you an option new lockers or standerd nuts up to you.
but you will have to tell them first so they can order them in or you will have a long wait.
