Yesterday, on my way to cash my pension, I had a stroke of good fortune. There, upon the ground, was a brand new fifty pound note. As I bent to pick it up a shot rang out, and a man standing just behind me, with a briefcase, fell stone dead.

As the assailant ran away (realizing that I was a witness to the crime), I noticed the dead man's briefcase had fallen open to reveal what turned out to be three million pounds. Well, what was I to do?

It occurred to me that, if I were very rich myself, the damages I would receive, due to the trauma of witnessing such a horrifying event, would be vast. Then it struck me! I was rich! I had three million pounds. Well, I thought of how much tax payers money would be wasted if I took the matter to court, so I just took what was (surely) my legal dues and made my way to the post office. What a stroke of luck!

What a story. Are you on prescription drugs or do you get them surreptitiously?

oops i think you must have the worst luck

the 3million was for a ransom payment and had a police tracker inside the man who got shot was a cid special officer,

so as there were no witnesses you have just become the prime suspect in a pedophile abduction case and the police have enough circumstantial evidence against you (dead copper, posession of the ransom money, cctv of you entering the post office with the case, etc) to put you behind bars for the rest of your life in a prison full of perverts.
and as all your assets will be frozen you'll only be able to get the free lawyer provided by the courts who will most likly be a complete rookie who's never tried a case in his life
unlucky mate!

I seem to have been born lucky. Everyone remarks on it. I don't seem to do anything to attract luck it just comes to me. To give you an example - I lost my phone charger and my phone was down. I said to my friend that I would ring her to pick me up from the station when I got on the train from London. I went to London Bridge from the Boat Show and on the way a Newspaper vendor was giving a free gift with each paper. He gave me a mobile phone charger with batteries that charged my phone. I knew it would happen and hadn't thought about it all day

We make our own luck, but never to the detriment of others. That`s a tough one to figure out though. You can`t really know why or how others attract their lives to themselves. Feeling lucky attracts being lucky. Yet that`s only a manner of speaking since we think of luck as being accidental and that is wrong thinking. All we need to do is to reprogram ourselves to not got with the negative program. I know this is the key, I only need to improve my percentages. Everyone can if they wish it to be so.

Yup!
Some people are lucky.
Some lucky with money. Always winning and lots!
Some with love. Lucky to be loved
Some with life. Lucky to still have life
Some have lucky family. "Oh what a lucky man he was"
Some bad luck. If not bad luck , no luck at all
And some have all the luck in the world.
They just don't have horseshoes up their *** they have the whole horse and buggy!

Which one are you? Stroke of luck!
I'm just lucky to be alive

NO, you stole money from a dead guy, were born stupid or did you learn it along the way. You had no such luck, you robbed a man who was going somewhere with the money. Hopefully the money doesn't belong to drug dealers or the mafia!

What might seem lucky now might not be later. I have heard this type of story before. So maybe you have 3million pounds now but then you never meet a real friend thereafter. So whats lucky. ?It makes a good point though. My girlfriend dumped me and I thought I was unlucky. But later I realised I was lucky!

A lucky man is one that does not miss nor covet anything at all - not money, not gold, not babe, nothing at all. A lucky man has in his face the bright dreamy glow of fiercy healthy joyful life, and even if he should not have it at all he would not miss it because it would not be with him because of not being meant to be with him.

A lucky man is very happy to have less as much as he is very happy to have more. A lucky man endowed with the extremest riches is happy to be so rich as he is, and if all his riches suddenly disappear, he will be inundated by the greatest joy because his riches have disappeared because it was meant that they should disappear - as riches happen to have a dreamy joyful life of their own, and to try to force them unto oneself it would mean to reduce them and to kill their self-determination.

A lucky man has a meaning - a sort of transcendental meaning that is not up to us to grasp. Not yet. Maybe never. A fiercy lucky man has a meaning just by having a dreamy notion of that meaning, or even by not having any notion about that meaning at all.

i don't really believe in luck. when misfortune occurs in one's life i believe it is the happening of events at a bad timing that leaves the person helpless and caught into its(misfortune) trap. Good luck is the other way. favorable things happen to a person at the right time and at a good start.
Life is that way, we only but have to deal with it.

Life is a chain of choices and sometimes circumstances are in our favour. If you havent chosen to go to take this pension (assuming you went) you would not have been so lucky. Luck is in the circumstances, but the choices in our lifes are ours.

You make your own luck!

Everything is cause and effect!
If you do not like the results you are getting look at your actions that got you those results and change your actions! Changing the cause you set in motion will change the effects that come from the cause set in motion!
