I've been writing poetry for the past 4 years
Everyone has said it has the potential to become extremely well known worldwide.
Out of curiousity, what are the steps to becoming published?
Does anyone know of any legit and well known poetry contests?

there r lots of poetry contests online, jus type in poetry contests and see what u come up with
