LoL ok well see your wireless router would be wired not the computer(s), you could have them wired just depending if you have a Wireless Card - such as D-Link and you just access the router through an Ip Address that the router has been set to and you have access and you can configure everything wireless .. its pretty nice

You need a Cable Modem, a Router, and then a PC that has a Wireless Card.
You may have to connect to the Router to make some basic changes, but after that, it is all plain sailing, especially after the WEP, or WPA etc key is set up

No. All you need is a wired connection (such as a cable modem), a router, and a wireless card.

to have wireless you'll need a wireless ethernet card for your computer and also a wireless router that will connect to your modem for the completed wireless setup. it really isn't complicated to setup. plug in the card, plug in the router. turn on the computer and XP will detect it and should set it up for you..

hahaha THAT'S TRUE!!! well, that's true in the case of Dsl, your isp provides you access to their infrastructure via a cable. the router that provides you with the access to their infrastructure also has wifi, therefor you can say your accessing the internet via wireless, there is another service Isp provides that let's you have internet "anywhere" in the country (it depends on if the are you are on has coverage), they provide you or you buy a card that allows your laptop to connect.
Cheers

To have wireless internet you need a router that will send the signal. I don't think you need a wired computer unless there's some special circumstance you are in...I dunno.
