What you need to do is delete all of your partitions first (this is why you have 2 windows OS)

Reformat that single partition
Create a primary partition
Create an extended partition
Create a logical part.(in the extended Part.)

Reboot with your Windows disc in the CD drive Choose boot from CD

You've e been through the rest>

Good Luck!

Absolutely. Just backup any files you want to keep first -- just in case. I am including some of the information here. Go to the link below.

Uninstall Windows – Reinstall – Format Hard Drive

How do I reinstall and reformat Windows XP on my hard drive?

With Windows XP, you need to figure out which you have on your hard drive - either NTFS or FAT32. Click here to find that out. (Once you have established this go to step 2a or 2b.)

2a) If you have NTFS, you need to wipe the drive with a special technique.

2b) If you have FAT32, you need to wipe the drive with a special technique.

3) Next you need to reinstall Windows XP. Reboot your computer with the Windows XP setup CD in the CDROM and let it boot into the Windows Setup screen. Let it load all the drivers. Then choose option 1 and start the clean installation. When it is done, reboot the computer.

If the first method doesn't work for you, try our alternate method.

Q: I don't have my Windows XP CD anymore can I still reinstall and refomat?
A. Sadly you cannot completely wipe your hard drive and install a fresh version of Windows unless you have an installation CD either from your computer maker or bought from a retail store.

This is definitely the best : Tried and tested by Me :
This will make your hard disk new like as when you bought it blank. :)

Download killdisk from here
http://www.killdisk.com/downloadfree.htm

I suggest the ISO. Burn the ISO to a CD, how to do that can be found here
http://www.ntfs.com/iso-burning.htm

Put killdisk in your CD drive and reboot the machine. This will completely erase your hard drive. Once done you can re-install whatever Windows OS you choose. :)
