My advice: Get the pleco. Yes, it will outgrow the tank but that will take years so by the time it gets to a half foot you'll probably have the funding for a larger tank.

And to the person that said that they grow to two feet, thats in extreme cases in the wild or under PERFECT conditions in captivity.

Im assuming the algea eater is the pleco? Cause if not, you dont need both a pleco and another algae eater.

True, the goldfish are cold water and the pleco's a tropical. But that really doesnt have a large effect on the fish. These fish have large ranges in temperatures so just find a comfortable median.

Good luck with your tank and careful with the goldfish. Test the water regularly for ammonia and nitrates so as to avoid ammonia poisoning. Goldfish are messy fish. Its true, after a while they'll begin to outgrow the tank so take that into consideration. Untill then just enjoy your tank.

I kept a pleco in a 10 gallon tank for a year (yes, I know this was bad)
After the year I gave it to my brother who had a 75 gallon tank and the pleco grew to 15inches in this tank. He was only 3 inches after a year in the 10 gallon. I would say it should be fine in a 30vgallon but it won't get as big as it would in a bigger tank. It really needs a 55 gal or more

No, those fish are simply not compatible.
Your goldfish are coldwater and algae eaters and plecos are tropical warm water fish. They simply do not cross well together if you want them all to be happy.
Moreover, you did not specify how many of each fish you have. A 30 gallon tank is only enough to support two fancy goldfish. If your "6 inches" of goldfish is regular goldfish, like a common or a comet, know that those are pond fish and do not belong in aquariums because they can grow to 12-18".
If you did not have the goldfish, then you could get a pleco, because a rubberlip will only grow to 5 inches.

No, you are still overstocked currently. All of thosse fish at adult size will be above 8". And plecos love to eat goldfish. Any suckerfish will kill a goldfish once it figures out that the goldfish tastes good.

You can get one, but keep in mind, it will outgrow the tank. A pleco will grow to be about 2 foot long.

it would be alot easier if you put the fish in numbers, not inches, cause that inch per gallon thing is bulls***

but I would say no, cause goldfish get very very large
