Ok, so Congress is against President Bush's plan right? If they vote against it, what does that mean? SInce Bush is Commander in Chief can't he override them? Or can they deny funding for the war? What exactly can Congress do?

President Bush IS the CiC. The reason our founding fathers gave that power to one man is that they knew you can not win a war by consensus leadership. They should shut up and stay out of the way. We are at war, and the enemy is applauding everything jack murtha is spewing. If we don't have the guts to win this war, the enemy will win. And the only way to win is through overwhelming force. "Talking" to this enemy is a joke. They laugh at us.

Congress has the power to declare war, but hasn't done that since WW2. But the President, as Commander in Chief, can send troops wherever he chooses, or not send them. Congress can deny funding for the President's actions, which would in effect prevent his orders from being carried out.
The Congress can also vote on a recommendation that the President not send troops, but the President can still do as he chooses unless Congress also denies funding. Congress may be reluctant to deny funding because it could put our troops in jeopardy, among other things.

They can fuss and fight all they want but Bush will get
his way no matter what becasue now we are obligated
as Bush went into this war not knowing a clue what he
got us into, we are the best when it comes to fighting in
the jungle, but city warfare is our weakness, and Irag is
proof of that. So Bush and his style of talk will get him the
support needed, after all we have to support our troops
to the max because they are there and dying everyday.
