I lived there back in the late 70's. My parents moved there when they retired. I went to HS my senior year there. At the time there were 4 HS with about 1200 students each. I know it has been a popular city to move to over the years and the pop. dbld in 25yrs.It used to be nice but now it has become dumpy from people I know that still live there. It was a major area for horse breading with beautiful farms and paddocks. Silver Springs is in Ocala and there is the national forest there as well. Centrally located so you could drive to the beaches in an hours time. I am sure it has had major changes in the years since I was living there.
