I am trying to figure out if the screen I have on my laptop is a good quality one or not. I have heard screen resolution is important to determine the quality . What other specs should a good laptop screen have?

That depends on the screen size. Right click, and go to properties, and find the resolution button to change to find a good resolution for your screen.

now a days you should have at least 1024 X 768, but some go to 1280 X 1024, but some websites don't look right on that setting. you can find out by left clicking the background and going to properties and then settings. the screen resolution is in the middle. while at it you mights want to make sure the colour quality is the highest along with the screen refresh rate. anything above 60 is fine but below it can give people head aches. to do that on the same window go to advanced and then the monitor tab!

Really depends on the monitor type and laptop model, but usually you can go to "Menu" on the monitor and it'll have a screen showing the resolution at the top of the menu and it'll look like this (but may not be exactly like this): 1024 X 768

right click any where on the desktop, a menu will apear, click properties. then og the the settings tab. there it will tell you your current screen resolution and other possible resolutions on a slider bar. most older laptops are a bout 1024X786, some newer ones depending on whether they are wide screen can be 1280X1024, 1340X1024. some thing like that.

hi pal to inform u the demonstrate resoutions can only be set at speficied resolutions and there is not any different determination placing between 800*six hundred and 1024*768. those placing are utilized international as criteria and there also u can see that any determination table is having no selection. all ideas are after that or in the previous that. its better now to not stress eyes and artwork at 800*six hundred determination if u use the computer with others. or u would set to 1024-768 even as u are utilising it

1024x760 is the best, on desktop you can read the text for every icon. But next 2-3 years we'll change the size of our monitor and with a 52" I think we'll change the resolution too :)
