o.k so heres the deal out of no where my car started like jumping into gear hard, it's a 1995 saturn with a automatic transmission. It goes into drive fine but when put into reverse it makes a loud clunk noise, and when being driven it also clunks/jomos into gear. Anyone ever have this problem, and what was it?

I had a loose motor mount on my stang once and it would clunk into gear when putting in reverse or drive so get that checked and if that pans out fine then you got a shotty tranny unless you are missing some housing bolts or bolts to hold the tranny to the car get it looked into or you will have an expensive repair bill unless you could do it yourself but i dont think you have a lift or some jack stands or the know how so take it somewhere you trust love and good luck with the plastic car

Is it a hard shift, or just a clunk, like something loose or worn in the driveline ?

If it's a hard shift, transmission shift pressure is controlled by a vacuum modulator. The theory is, when your engine is under load like going up a hill or towing, it has low vacuum and the transmission needs to shift harder. During light loads, the engine has high vacuum and the transmission should shift softer.
I'd look for a damaged vacuum line from the engine to the transmission.

If it's a clunk, you could have a bad motor mount, or a worn or broken CV joint.

My money is the trans. I had several vehicles before JUST like what you stated. You put it into gear and it KLUNKS. That's your trans. I got money on that!

Might be bad motor or transmission mounts?

Transmission or motor mount.

It might not be the transmission, it could be the universal joint at the back of the tailshaft.
