Sometimes the best songs are the ones with no words at all, so I'll name a few for you:

1) Moments in Love by Art of Noise--You don't need nothing else but some dark lights, a sexy lady dressed in her finest lingerie, and some of the best wine out there. Put all three of these together and simply let nature take it's place!

2) The Instrumental Theme from the St. Elmo's Fire Soundtrack--The first time i heard it, i really liked it. It reminded me of being in a dream and you're floating on the clouds with no end in sight!

3) Silhouette by Kenny G--If you don't wanna go out tonight, just light some candles and spend a relaxing evening at home with you and that special someone. It's a song you can listen to when driving at night when it's real quiet.

There is no such thing as an instrumental song it's an instrumental full stop.

BUT I go with Tubular bells. I love the way it builds up to the great cescendo and then tailsmoff tom the guitar at the end.

Any Jesse Cook song. He is a nuvo Flamenco artist. Although in four albums he has about 6 songs with words. The first 2 albums Tempest and Gravity do not have any words. Great dinner music

I'd have to say either 'Far Beyond the Sun' or 'Black Star' by Yngwie Malmsteen. Those or 'Mr. Scary' by George Lynch of Dokken. All are soaring masterpieces. There are also a lot of great instrumental songs by Allan Holdsworth.

depends what music your into;blues-rock and rock is my preferred style. Many Hendrix songs are quite instrumentl in many cases using wailing guitar riffs instead of lyrics. Voodoo child is exceptionally good and mostly instumental. Commonly lyrics give these type of songs more meaning, but many can be adjusted to instrumental. The Shadows are really good.
