I am switching mmorpgs from runescape to world of warcraft and i am wondering what to buy. regular game? expansions? which expansions? thx

Purchase World of Warcraft (the game) and if you would like to be one of the new races (Blood Elf or Dranaei) then buy The Burning Crusade as well.
If you don't think you will be playing any of the new races, don't buy the expansion until you hit about level 58. Most of the expansion is geared towards the higher level characters.

I would buy the first game first and then decide whether or not u like it and when u decide u should go get the new expansion Buring Cursade (BC). As far as computers go get one that has a good graphics card and has a good amount of Ram so it doesnt get all laggy in the major cities and also a bigger screen helps the awesome grphics come to life. Blizzard is amazing and they did a great job on the new BC. Make the switch it is worth it.

Theres only one expansion which is the burning crusade, but I don't suggest you buy it till you're a pretty high level on the non expansion.

Try the two-week trial first. They are sold at Walmarts, and they only cost a dollar. THen, you can ask around and figure out what you want.
