1 km= 1000 m
A = pr2 a=3.14*(500)2 = 785400
v=A*h = 785400*5= 3927000 m3
1m3=1 Lt ....... 3927000 Lts of water

The volume of the lake is:
V= pi * (radius)^2 * depth
The radius is 1/2 of the diameter (500 meters) and the depth is 5 meters. Plugging this into the formula we get:
V = pi * (500m^2) * 5m or
3.14 * 250000 * 5 = 3925000 cubic meters

the lake can hold maximum water when it is in shape of cylinder for ur question
taking critical condition , assuming it to be a cylinder
so radius is 500 m = r and depth is 5m = h
so , volume = nr^2 h = (pi) r^2 h
= 3.14 x 5 x 5 x 500 = 39250 cubic metre = 39250000 litre

This is simply finding the volume of a cylinder. Pi r squared times the 5 m. So it is 500 muliplied by 500 muliplied by pi muliplied by 5.
