What do you think the terrorist would have learned from us if we had gone into Afghanistan, after 9/11, and secured it for Democracy and not gone into Iraq? Do you think we still would have had to go into Iraq?

Even better, what would terrorist groups have learned if we actually caught Osama like the president kept saying we we were going to do? The guy who sent people to attack us. Who killed around 3000 Americans. That was one of the first things that showed that this president and his administration aren't interested in keeping their word or in effectively stopping terrorists

Firstly, I don't think the terrorists would have learned anything. They are fanatical and full of hatred for the U.S.
The only good that might havae come from that would be that we would only have troops in Afghanistan instead of both places and the terrorists, insurgents, maniacal fools would be coming to Afghanistan to conduct their "Unholy War". That way our troops wouldn't be so spread out.

They don't even get along with each other.
today at Iwon.com I read that Shiites who don't like the present shiite leaders in Iraq were planning to slaughter the "Holy Leaders"

They were shiites planning to kill shiites over some little doctrinal difference. How can people like Americans who come from a stable democracy understand that?

It would be similar to Southern Baptists attacking central Baptists. That just doesn't happen in America.

We put ourselves in an impossible situation. Democracy is a luxury that not all countries can afford (especially Islamic countries where the Koran is the law), at least not in the way we want to have it...AN OVERNIGHT DEMOCRACY, or DEMOCRACY EXPRESS.

Imposition of Democracy is a failure to recognize economic necessity of a middle class society. Rich people don't believe that they're rich enough to be rich.
