Matters what you mean by 266. 266mhz cpu that was on the socket 7, slot 1, slot A, motherboards. Or a motherboard with 266mhz fsb, like a socket A, Socket 370 board, or has 266mhz memory. A bit more info would be needed. On the motherboard, there is usually a model number on the board, knowing what that is, would help to know what the motherboard can take.

pc 266 memory is actually ddr pc2100 memory it works in the older boards that took ddr which is some of the first ddr boards that came out with the processor ranging from 900mhz to 1500 mhz processors. i really hate ity when people say something when they have no clue about something.. this is the right info you need to know to find a board for the ddr you have. unless you are given a computer that has that type of ddr then it really isn't worth buy a computer to put it in.

Have a look in the manual, or look up the model name/number on the internet. The processor will be limited to whatever socket/slot standard it used. I suspect that you may not have much luck with the lastest processors models.
You probably need to give more information like age of computer and current processor. The information you have provided relates to memory standards, which are independent to processor models.
I think, but am willing to be corrected, PC266 predates/is a different specification to DDR memory.

You might need to send the model of computer. Seems like the PC 266 is a memory module and can fit many things.Like asking which 15" tire will fit which vehicle. Too many to state.
So if it is a computer need more facts.
