Well step one fill a pot with water and bring to a boil...add any natural oils if you like I would recommend lavander...

then place the vat of hat water on a table in front of you and site with your face above it with a towel helping you to gather the steam around your face...

the steam opens up the pores and allows the body to release and rid itself of toxins and oil making the skin appear more radiant and healthy...also moisturizes.

While this is great for your sinuses, don't do it for your skin. Facial skin does not like extremes, and you could end up with broken blood vessels in your face. If you are very fair they will appear as spider veins. Those can be treated with lasers, but why bother?

Steam from the shower will open your pores up enough. The water isn't anywhere near the boiling temperature in there, so the steam won't be as hot.

From one who used to do it until she learned better.

You could accomplish this by taking a hot bath in a closed bathroom with out using a vent to remove the steam.

I haven't done this in a long time-- I think I'll do it today! I used to boil water, pour it into a bowl, and sit over the bowl with a towel draped over my head.
