Curious what everybody thinks, to me it was Larry Bird at ISU. He single-handedly brought that team to the championship game undefeated. Unbelievable...

Larry Bird took a bunch of mediocre players and led them to a 33-0 record in his final year at ISU. Not many players can say that. He left college the 5th leading scorer in NCAA history.

I never saw Pistol Pete in college (little too young), but his stats were incredible.

Len Bias. Man it would have been fun to see him in the NBA.

And to the guy that said Greg Oden, what are you thinking? 1st he's not a soph, but a fresh, and he's not even the best freshmen this year, so how is he the best you have ever seen?

That's tough. I'll break it down to my top 5 (in no particular order) ... Len Bias(R.I.P.), Christian Laettner (as much as I despise Duke), Hank Gathers (R.I.P.), Larry Johnson, and "Magic" Johnson - sorry Larry Legend !!

Pistol Pete at LSU. His stats speak for himself. He was way ahead of his time. Check the record books he holds them all.
