I like them both and know real people with those names. Edwina is a reference librarian, she is a very down to earth person and Fiona is a finance professional. I believe both were old family names - either way - they are pretty names.

Edwina is pretty bad, IN MY OPINION. Edwina hit a peak of 433rd most popular name during the 1930s. Fiona is nice. Fiona was ranked the 327th most popular girls name in 2004, and 378th in 2005

I don't like Edwina at all-- but it's really your decision to make. I don't care for Fiona either, but it's better than Edwina.

To be perfectly honest, at least in the U.S., which is all I can really judge for, I find Edwina to be hideous. Not only does it sound archaic, but it's obviously based off a stereotypically-nerdy male name. I kind of like Fiona, though. It's elegant.
I REALLY, REALLY don't mean to be rude, and in the end it's all a matter of taste. I just know what it's like to be teased about your name in grade school and wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I like Fiona better. I don't like Edwina at all. It reminds me of a real old lady. I would have liked to know what middle name you are choosing.

I had a babysitter named Edwina. She was African-American. Its not a bad name, I would go with Fiona though.

I like Fiona better, it sounds more feminine. I'm concerned Edwina (especially if you use the nickname Ed) could be confused for a male
