Everyone generally knows that PENTIUM D SUCKS... it did not do as well as its following partner in processes...

The only thing that would beat the AMD on this would be the INTEL CORE 2 DUO...

ALSO ATI video cards seem to be a LOT more popular in gaming computers at the moment. AMD bought ATI so its a great thing to stick with...

Actually none of the above. But the first computer is fairly close. It would need a much better video card in order to play 3d video games. www.tomshardware.com for video benchmarks. The video card is the most important part of the computer for gamers. The cpu is decent enough, and 2gb of ram is good. Tom's hardware also has benchmarks on cpus so you can compare them as well.

I'd mess with the gateway if i didn't make my own... Simply because of the Gui and card RAM, and i am a AMD fan but the pentium d is pretty alright. But they are both pretty close competitors. But I personaly would get the gateway.

HELL NO Don't get a dell! Who the hell are you to tell him to waste money! ?

My opinion, buy a Mac Pro. It runs both Windows XP or Vista and (of course) Mac OS X. It is $2500.
Specs:
Two 2.66GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon "Woodcrest" processors (That's 4 cores)
1GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT
250GB hard drive
6x double-layer SuperDrive (CD/DVD reader/writer)
One badass looking box

And it is fully upgradeable to up to 4TB (terabyte) hard drive (4000GB), 16GB RAM support for 2 monitors, 3GHz processors, and more

1st computer but if you can find a deal with an Intel core 2 duo that would be better.

1st Computer.
The 2nd PC's video card has 64MB onboard & the rest is shared RAM.

I think HP is generally better than Gateway, and most people say nVIDIA is better, too.
