If it is a wireless router you need to be connected to it via a wire. Then put 192.168.0.1 into the web browser. A web page should pop up asking you for a name and password. depending on the type of router you have you will either leave the name blank and use "admin" as the password. OR you use "admin" as the name and then again as the password. This should be changed once you get logged in (if neither of these are correct search onilne for setting up the brand of router you have). Once in just click around on the various tabs till you find the number you wish to change. I use a trendnet router in my computer room and it is on the first page of that router under "main" On my "dlink" router in the hall way it is under "home->lan"

If you find when going to that address that you are going to your DSL and not your ROUTER you may wish to remove the DSL from the picture untill you change the address on the router.

Question would be why? If the dsl is using 192.168.0.1 then the router has to use 192.168.10.1 or any other 192.168.xxx.1. If the dsl does NOT use those numbers, there is no reason to change the router's ip address. And your computers should be obtaining a ip address automatically from the router.

you have to empty the address bar..type in the 192.168.0.1..
you'll access the interface of the system.. if you want to change the ip of your router.. you can do so.. under your advance settings...but if your going to change the ip of your modem. no way to do that..but you can disable the configuration of your modem.. by going to the advance.. then connection configuration.. then ppp location.. then click on bridge mode.. so you can have the router handle the connection and it wont give you conflict..
