it is very interesting you mention church, because of the "gothic" style of many european churches from the late middle ages.

why are u gothic? the outward appearance is always what makes the first impression, and the first impression lasts the longest. so if u still do everything else that other non-goths do then WHY are u gothic? i dont see any good reason why a well-standing person would demean his appearance so much and complain. If u were bright and cheery in ur dressing there wouldnt be much fright. i myself am scared of goths. it could be because of where i am from there are NO goths(africa) or it could just be the frightening appearance. to be candid, the gothic way is not a very appealing way, not at all.

Its a stereotype. You can follow whatever religion you want. Just like you, I go to church, and I'm what most people would call goth. Some of the music can be sombre, but that doesn't make it evil. We're just more aware of the sadness in this world, which I think makes goths more sensitive. I don't know about everyone else, but that doesn't sound satanic or evil at all.

no, but your bunch a freaks. My old man would have kicked my a** if I came in the house dressed goth. Thank God I was raised right I didn't feel the need to act out my emotional problems.
