This is really silly but I was making a few adjustments to my resume when a friend, in an effort to help, sent me his own. While looking through his resume I noticed a few things that could be fixed. I feel very uncomfortable expressing this, especially since his intention was to assist.

If he is actively looking for a job, then I think you're kind of obligated to help him. (Wouldn't you want someone to tell you if you were, say, walking around with ketchup on your face?) Be sure to thank him for the effort to assist you and the good ideas it did give you, though.

Well dont just come out and say this is wrong and this is bad. Just say to this person I saw something that I think you could make look better and get you a better job if you just change it a little. Just say it nicely. Did you take a class on resumes? If so then just say in the class I took they said it would make it look neater if.... Just be nice about it. Unless you know this person will get very upset if you just mention something bad.

NO. If he didn't ask and he was trying to help you, then say "That's alright my intention is to score a job!" Then if he asks 'why do say that?' Then you can let him have it.

Just kidding. That would be horrible to say to your friend. Tell him only if he asks. Everyone has a weakness.

I think you should ask him if you need to look over his or if he thinks it is fine. Then if he says yes please look at it tell him what you think. If he does not then do not say anything. If it was me I would want to know b/c what you have noticed an employer might also notice.
