i'm stuck. my little farie keeps telling me theres something strange about the clouds on death mountain but i can not figure it out. anyone have any suggestions?

i've already gotten the letter..i'm way past that..i've been to the place with the big frog looking guys, sorry i cant remember what they're called.. i'm pretty far into the game i think, i'm just stuck.

Go through Kakariko village again, to the Goron village (where you talked with Darunia/played him Saria's song). There will be one Goron there. Stop his motion with a bomb, and speak with him. After choosing the correct phrases to say, he'll open the doors and give you a red tunic. Go to Darunia's room, and pull the big statue. This will put you on the path to Death Mountain Crater, and the Fire Temple.

He's just telling you to go check it out. Ifyou haven't gotten the letter from princess zelda to go up there then do that and you'll be able to get into death mountain. If that ain't the problem, details please.
