Chillies, like chocolate, release endorphins in the brain. That said, you'll never see anyone selling a bag of chillies or a Dairy Milk at a rave.....

They would give you a natural high because your body reacts to the chemicals - its a reaction but I don't think Oliver promoted it in the best way

It is also addicitive, and we build up a resistance to it, hence after time you can eat hotter food. Some of the strongest varieties also have hallucinogenic properties. I don't actually think they have any magical qualities be it aphrodisiac or the ability to get you high, though I could be proved wrong, try at your peril!

hmmm dont know, im gonna test his theory out on my hubby lol, i really shouldnt have thought so cuz in our younger days as students we would have heard about it at some point lol......not that i had a mis-spent youth or anything :-)
