The fact is that Scooter Libby lied. He said he heard it from Tim Russert, which Russert said was not true. Several other government employees concur with this-that they were told days before the Russert meeting. I have a very hard time understanding why republicans wouldn't find this to be very serious. Maybe try to imagine Scooter a Dem-wouldn't you be furious?

My opinion.

To the best of my knowledge, Valerie Plame worked at the CIA as I worked at our local university.

V Plame was not an undercover superspy any more than I was a professor. Her name was mentioned as Joe Wilson's wife without a second thought because there was no reason not to.

The prosecutor, Fitzgerald, knew sometime ago that the first person to mention her name was Richard Armitage, yet he continue to pursue S Libby. Sounds like Les Miserables.

Our problem is too many individuals from the "if it feels good do it" generation are working in the media and government.

"Treason"? LOL! Nobody has been charged for the "outing" of a "covert" desk jockey whose name had been leaked to the Russians by Aldrich Ames, during the Clinton administration.

This isn't "treason". Treason would more properly be protesting a war and spewing enemy propaganda while our soldiers are fighting and dying, as the Dems did.

He perjured his testimony. Last time a Dem politician did that, you people defended him, refused to punish him, and claimed to have "saved the Constitution". Funny how your beliefs regarding perjury have changed.

Ours have not.

Funny, I thought that treason was holding meetings in a foreign country with representatives of an enemy power during time of war while you are still listed as a serving member of the military. You know, like Hanoi John Kerry did. How come he didn't get to do the manila rope jig like Saddam?

The truth is that Richard Armitage outed Plame's dumb @$$ after she and her nitwit husband outed her together with her foolish act of nepotism in sending his worthless @$$ to Africa in the first place.

No it isn't treason. A crime wasn't even commited by releasing her name. The crime was commited during the attempted cover-up.
