they are both by gm.. have the same dimensions, and cost about the same... any differences?

The Camaro is more versatile especially the late 60's models...as far as engine options and aftermarket goods....Firebird stood in the shadow of the GTO until the mid 70's....Camaro went up against the Stangs and Cudas...most of the time, smoking them...it has more of a racing and customizing pedigree..Firebirds and Trans Am are known as show ponies...all show, no go....Pontiac had the 455 but Chevy had the 502 and 540...which could also go into the Firebird...in later years, Firebird was more desired...the greatest achievement was the Firehawk of the late 90's and early 2000's....but Ligenfelter has made Camaros with Vettes components that were 9 second cars.

Personal taste. I always favored the Firebird for cosmetic reasons that's all.

they are basically the same- pontiac firebird has more upgrades and is slightly higher in price

The only differences are the looks inside and out.

just the body and interior. the running gear is identical usually
