I was on a generic form of ortho tri-cyclen for 4 years and went off it in september to try and conceive. before even going on the pill my periods were very irregular, i got it maybe once every 4-5 months.

i took my last pill on september 9th and got my period on the 11th. i thought my period would have regulated itself in the past 4 years but i guess not because i got it again on october 24th and that was the last i saw of it.

i guess my main question is, it's been over 4 months since i last took the pill and i think if i were getting my periods i would be fertile by now.

is it possible to get pregnant when you don't get your period? i mean i know i can't be ovulating this whole time but waiting is such a pain. i just want to be able to track my fertile days. ugh.

also, i know i am not pregnant because i have taken many tests.

It can take up to a year to get normal again.

After I went off the pill it took me 7 months to get pregnant. If you have questions call your OB.

I would say that you can get pregnant if you are not getting your period, as long as the cause of the missing periods is not something medical that could also cause infertility. I think you should check with a dr. on this one, because you may have a more serious problem than you think.

If everything checks out with the dr., you could track fertility other ways. Techniquest that I have heard about include using your temperature and the consistency of your cervical mucus. Complicated, I'm sure. But I bet there's lots of info on the web about it.

I have the same problem. I wish I had the answer for you! If you find a good one let me know! I went off the pill and my last period on the pill started Dec. 25th. I haven't had one since. Like you I was on the ortho generic and had very irregular periods. Frustrating...

No it is not. You need to see your doctor about this. They might be able to give you something to start your period. Than you need to figure out when you are ovulating. You ovulate 12-14 days before your period begins. I recommend buying a fertility monitor they work wonderful! I also use ovulex which regulates your periods so that might help you! Hope this helps! Ovulex really does work as I use it and it made me ovulate 5 days earlier than I normally do.

If you were that irregular before starting the pill, then going off of it will probably see you cycle going back to it's irregular pattern again. Is difficult to know if you're ovulating with no period at all - you'd have to discuss with doc.

properly, you reported the end of your very last era became Aug fifth. even as became the start? also, in view that being off birth control, you received't have a 28 day cycle anymore. you go with to grant your body time to regulate and then see how lengthy your cycles at the on the spot are. although, it is attainable for %. to happen on the first cycle after preventing birth control. I only counted from Sept 2, it is the day you reported your era ought to were right here, to Aug fifth and that is strictly 28 days.. So I beleive you're counting incorrect. Cd a million is the first day of your era... Then it repeats itself once your era returns, which for most females, is 28 days later from that FIRST day. in any case, ovulation occurs 14 days in the previous your next era is due. Sperm can stay in you for as a lot as 5 days. So in case you had unprocted sex for the time of that factor, its very attainable for concept to happen. in case you era began on Aug fifth, then your next era became due round Sept 1st. in the experience that your era began in the previous Aug 5, then your era is due somewhat in the previous then. although, like I reported, it ought to make the effort on your body to regulate itself because you've been on birth control for 6 yrs. provide it some months to straighten out.

Try getting some fertility pills from GNC and taking them.
You can still come out pregnant. Don't worry about that.
But try taking those and see if that works for you.
