my mum has been trying for a baby for 2 years now, she found out that her tubes are blocked about a month ago, she has thought about IVF but has only just decided not to go ahead with that, if she gets her tubes unblocked what do you think are chances of her conceiving, she has had 7 healthy pregnancys and has never had any trouble conceiving before, she is 43.

I had one tube removed and a tumor removed from the other and was able to conceive 2 months later. So I believe her chances are good, very good in fact. Tell her not to give up, it is possible, and discuss her odds with her doctor.

Good luck

my friend had her tubes clipped 9 years ago and recently enquired about having them unclipped and the dr told her she'd only have a 30%chance of getting pregnant and she's only 35. I know its hard when you want another child but if your mum already has 7 kids she should focus on how lucky she is to have all of them. it may just be her bodys way of saying enough is enough.
